Over two dozen Flathead Democratic Party volunteers collected food for seven area food banks at five Flathead Valley supermarkets on November 14. The effort resulted in the distribution of close to 3,000 pounds of food to food banks in Lakeside, Bigfork, Kalispell, Evergreen, Whitefish and Columbia Falls. |

Democrats Mark Veterans Memorial Day By Planting Garden at Montana Veterans Home
The Flathead Democratic Party Community Service Committee celebrated Memorial weekend by planting seeds for two vegetable gardens and an on-going relationship at the Montana Veterans Home in Columbia Falls.
Volunteers Dianne Grove, Mona Charles, Theresa and John Conner, Mary Reckin, Mary Adams, and Mark and Marci Holston planted and will maintain the gardens throughout the growing season.
They will also help the vets harvest their bounty that includes several varieties of lettuce, carrots, bush beans, squash, radishes, and onions. |
